The Lawrence School, Sanawar has been to me more than just a school. Coming from a small town and a very overtly protective family, Sanawar was my first exposure to freedom and responsibility at the same time. My favourite hobby cooking; was nurtured and polished at Sanawar. Little did I know then, that I will go on to become a professional Chef and win accolades for the same from people all around the world. Thank you Sanawar for making me who I am today and preparing me with all the right values and strength that one needs before entering the real world!

I spent 9 years in Sanawar and was Head Boy in 1994-95. Sanawar helped me lay the very foundations upon which my life has been built. It taught me how to get along with people from diverse backgrounds and how to fit in absolutely anywhere. It also taught me how to be independent and persevere, and succeed no matter what the circumstances or obstacles. I carry the Never Give In motto with me everywhere.

Joining The Lawrence School, Sanawar in 1952 shaped the course of my life. Its outstanding academics, disciplined routine, rigorous NCC training, sports and rich co-curricular opportunities prepared me for the NDA, IMA and a distinguished career in the Army Corps of Engineers. Sanawar also laid the foundation for my First Indian Sailing Expedition around the World in Yacht TRISHNA. I remain forever grateful to my great school for instilling in me the spirit of Never Give In.
