International Award for Young People (IAYP)
The Lawrence School Sanawar was registered for IAYP in the year 2008. This award has three levels. The beginner level is called the bronze level, followed by silver and then gold. In each level, there are four sections- Physical Recreation, Skills, Social Service, and Adventure Journey. The minimum age to register is fourteen and a half. After completion of each award, the students are awarded certificates and medals. These certificates are accepted worldwide. Large number of students have successfully completed all three levels. In each section mentioned above the students have to master a game of their choice, a skill, and do social service for a necessary period. All these activities are part and parcel of life at Sanawar. Sanawar students are regularly engaged in social service when it comes to helping the underprivileged, planting trees, teaching the students or visiting old age homes, feeding stray animals, etc. Their work recognition is when they do the same after registering for IAYP. Five students, Sohana Jishtu, Arooshi Bhatia, Ananya Goyal, Jaimukund Bhan, and Jayant Sharma completed their bronze level irrespective of COVID by dint of their determination and consistency. The Lawrence School, Sanawar was awarded for its "Voluntary Service to the Community" contribution during the award Journey 2021-22. Mrs. Anuradha Sharma, in charge of the International Young People in the school, was awarded the ‘Valuable Service Meritorious Certificate’ by the National Award Authority for her dedicated support towards the Award Programme.
